I am currently a postdoc with John Rinn in the Stem Cell and Regenerative Biology department at Harvard University where I am interested in studying the function and evolution of long intergenic noncoding RNAs (lincRNAs) using computational methods. In May 2011, I completed a PhD in Computer Science at the University of Maryland, College Park. My advisor was Steven Salzberg in the Center for Bionformatics and Computational Biology. As an undergraduate, I studied mathematics and computer science at Syracuse University.
