As you can tell from my name, I am originally from Romania,
where I lived until the end of the last millenium (dinosaurs roamed the
earth...). The first 20 years of my life were spent under the
dictatorship of Nicolae Ceausescu. Life was probably not as harsh
as most Americans imagine, however it was no walk in the park either.
When I am not teaching or researching I enjoy sailing,
woodworking, and playing with my ever-growing-too-fast toddler
